Upgrade releases -These are major feature releases within a given LT product family. Upgrade releases are often defined by a change in the product version number to the left of the decimal, such as version 6.0 to version 7.2.
Maintenance releases - These releases include technical improvements to the functionality of your base software, including periodic Hot fixes and Service Packs. Maintenance releases are typically defined by a change in the version number to the far right of the decimal, such as version 7.2 to version 7.2B.

Enhancement releases - These releases often represent enhancements to existing features in your base software. Enhancement releases often are defined by a change in the product version number directly to the right of the decimal, such as version 7.0 to version 7.2.
